Ugo’s is close by Piazza delle Erbe, in centro storico, often advised as the best Osteria in town, offers indeed great food. No Menu, probably no credit cards, you will need a translator to understand the waitresses, but we are here to help you out 😉

Seafood ravioli, taglierini al pesto or seppie alla Ugo are our best dishes. But, if they have them, don’t miss anchovies and the superb tiramisu al pistacchio.

This is a place where you can have simply great local food, not sophisticated but truly genuine and incredibly tasty.

Nervi

Nervi is the Easternmost district of Genoa, a former touristic town but still one of the best destinations for sunny weekends. People love getting out of the city centre and take a walk along the panoramic passeggiata Anita Garibaldi. It is a very relaxing destination, especially when there are less people around, maybe during the week and with a romantic sunset as scenery.

All starts with the porticciolo di Nervi.
If you are lucky enough to find a parking in the area! Otherwise you may reach Nervi by train and start the walk from the middle. One way or the other you should get to the coast and will tumble upon the walkway. Along the path you will be for sure able to find focaccia and all sort of restoration.

Nervi is also famous for the beautiful parks where children love playing and older people rest in the freshness. Worth visiting the rose garden!
